Chrissy Hewitt graduated from Drayton Valley and later moved to Red Deer, and is now the manager at Healthy Smiles. Dentistry has always been a passion of hers, and she always notices people’s beautiful smiles when she first meets them.
Her passions outside of work include spending time with her family and friends, playing with her dog Sophie, and traveling. Her favorite destination so far has been Iceland. In the summer Chrissy enjoys playing baseball, fishing, and boating. In the winter, she spends time snowboarding, although most of that time is spent on the ground rather than standing up. Dedication is key!
Chrissy has a companionate and friendly personality, and she is charismatic, detail orientated, ambitious and provides a strong level of leadership for the Healthy Smiles team. She believes the most important role of her job is to make sure that patients are happy the moment they walk through the door by greeting them with smile, the universal welcome.
Kayleigh Horne was born and raised in a small town in British Columbia and moved to Calgary when she turned 18. She lived there with her boyfriend and pet ferret, Blooper, who she “loved” to make sure wasn’t tipping over water, chewing on watches or eating and hiding socks. In 2014, her boyfriend got news of being accepted to Red Deer College and they moved to Red Deer.
Once she moved, Kayleigh decided to go into the field of dentistry, and joined the team at Healthy Smiles receptionist since January 2015. Working as a receptionist in the dentistry field, she learned a verity of skills, such as dealing with insurances, meeting new patients and answering all forms of questions patients may have about their appointments. Kayleigh hopes to continue to learn and grow as she continues her time at Healthy Smiles.
Paige Bodwell was born and raised in Red Deer, and has been a dental hygienist at Healthy Smiles for four years. As a child she participated in may sports, including soccer which she still loves to this day. She enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and biking. Paige also loves to travel and would one day love to go overseas and help others with their dental needs.
Paige spent two years at Red Deer College where she was enrolled in science. She then transferred to the University of Alberta in 2009 where she participated in the Dental Hygiene Program. She lived in Edmonton during this time, but returned to Red Deer once her program was completed. She began working at Healthy Smiles in September of 2011 and has been a member of our team ever since.
Paige has a huge passion for dental hygiene and always has since she was very young. Her uncle was a dentist for many years and it was him that made her curious about dentistry. She always has thought that helping people be comfortable with smiling was one of the most rewarding things about her field, and even though she might not be drilling and filling teeth all the time, she still adds to the treatment that gives the patient confidence that they may not have had before. Paige feels this is the career for her and wants to continue on for many years to come!
